~Angel Aunt~
There's been a new addition
To the angels up above
My own dear aunt has joined them
Where she basks in God's sweet love.
At times I sense her presence
I know she's watching over me
Yet I know she's up in heaven
With her baby girl...you see.
God saw fit to take her from us,
It left an ache within our hearts.
Still we must rejoice now with her
As from his presence nevermore she'll part.
Yes, she's now walking up there
On those glorious streets of gold,
And some day we hope to join her,
If we follow God....for so we're told.
She has this kind and gentle spirt,
And we were to her...so dear.
Our goodbyes to her that day,
Were said many with a tear.
Now she's joined that angel choir
She's singing to her hearts content.
We truly must thank you, our sweet Lord,
For this angel which to us you lent.
